Baseline Engine

Optimize Readiness & Adaptation

Baseline monitors internal readiness. HRV, heart rate recovery, movement quality, and emotional state. It answers the most important question before every session: “Should we sprint today?”

Composite Readiness

Four inputs, one readiness score. Each weighted to reflect its impact on performance and safety.

HRV

30%

Heart rate variability. Autonomic nervous system readiness.

HR Recovery

30%

Post-exercise heart rate recovery speed. Cardiovascular fitness.

Movement Quality

25%

Biomechanical efficiency scores from recent Hybrid sessions.

Emotional State

15%

Self-reported 1-10 scale. Score ≤ 2 triggers clinical flag for Liz.

Mind + Body Safety Net

Emotional state is part of readiness. When an athlete reports a 1 or 2, the system immediately flags Liz — our Licensed Clinical Director. No sprint is worth more than an athlete's mental health.

Baseline distinguishes fatigue-based performance dips from technique breakdown. A tired athlete needs rest. A confused athlete needs coaching. The data tells the difference.

Recovery Alerts

When readiness drops, Hybrid gets deload guidance. Tempo runs instead of max sprints.

Training Load Tracking

Volume and intensity across sessions. Prevents overtraining before it starts.

Adaptation Trends

Week-over-week readiness trends. See if the athlete is absorbing the training or declining.

Clinical Flagging

Emotional state ≤ 2 → immediate alert to Liz. The athlete comes first, always.
